11.6.2011. This was the date I came to Bangalore for the first time in my life to study BBA in Christ University for the next three years. I remember the first day of my college. Students from all over India came and introduced themselves. They all excelled in some thing or other. But I was not. Some topped 12th boards while rest excelled in some or other things. I was so depressed.I'm an average student who has achieved nothing in life. Neither I can dance nor speak fluent English ( Being fluent is expected of every Christite). For such obvious reasons, I had difficulty in making friends. But as time passed by I learnt three lessons of life. The first lesson I learnt was there is no market for emotions in this world, so better not advertise them. No-one has time to sit and listen to your sorrows. Keep your emotions within and carry your life. The second lesson was to be independent. At home you can rely on your family. But here all everything has to be done by YOU. You can't rely on college friends to help you with assignments.( they will back-stab you some day). Being responsible was the third lesson. Going back home after six struggled months,I realised the importance of family. That I have to make my own place in this brutal world. You have parents expectations, sisters hope that you will be some one one day.
These are the three most important lessons I learnt away from family. But still, there is so much pressure of where you will stand in future.!
