Nitish: Bihar for more Super Speciality hospitals Patna, May 28 (PTI) Bihar Government wants to set up more 'Super Speciality Hospitals' in the state to upgrade treatment of critical and chronic diseases, Chief Minister Nitish Kumar said today.
"We want more and more Super Speciality Hospitals in Bihar to mitigate the suffering of patients going outside the state for treatment of critical and chronic diseases," Kumar told reporters after inspecting the construction work for a branch of the AIIMS here.
He said people of Bihar and other neighbouring states would avail the benefits of standard and specialised treatment once the hospital started functioning.
Kumar said the AIIMS would most likely be ready by 2012, adding that he had already requested Union Health Minister Gulam Nabi Azad to ensure the construction in a time-bound manner. |
