UltraTouch smart phone from Samsung    

Samsung India on Wednesday launched its UltraTouch smart-phone that comes with a wide touch-screen and 8 mega pixel camera. The company has tied with Bharat Sanchar Nigam and Mahanagar Telephone Nigam to bundle its handsets with their recently launched 3G services.

Priced at Rs. 27,500, the new touch-screen phone offers hi-speed internet access, video telephony, streaming and multimedia services.

?Samsung ?UltraTouch? leads the portfolio of our high-end phone and it will further enhance our leadership in the premium full-touch market,? said Samsung India President and CEO Jung Soo Shin after launching the new phone here.

According to Sunil Dutt, Samsung Telecom Division?s Country Head, ?With this latest offering, we now have four touch-screen phones in the Indian market.?

The entire portfolio of Samsung touch-screen phones is 3G enabled and priced between Rs. 17,790 and Rs. 32,200.

?We will be further strengthening our touch-screen portfolio in the coming months with more innovative launches. Based on the enhancement of our touch-screen and the multimedia phone portfolio, we hope multimedia phone segment to contribute 40-45 per cent of our total sales in 2009,? he said.
