Ban: India, Pak should continue talks
The UN on Friday called for a continuation of the peace process between India and Pakistan even as the world body expressed concern about security in Pakistan. Describing India as a leading voice of the developing world, secretary-general Ban Ki-moon said that dialogue was essential between the two countries.?

"India and Pakistan are important countries in the subcontinent and they should continue to improve their relations through dialogue," said Ban Ki-moon, even as he ruled out withdrawing observers from both the countries. The world body also expressed concern over the security situation in Pakistan and sought international cooperation to help the country create secure atmosphere and have social-economic development.?

"I am concerned over the deteriorating security situation in Pakistan," he said, asking the global community and neighbouring nations to help it improve the situation. "I am encouraged by the commitment made by leaders of both countries," he said.
