Amar Singh supports Raj Thackeray on retrenchment issue
Maharashtra Navnirman Sena Chief Raj Thackeray and Samajwadi Party leader Amar Singh have become strange bedfellows on the issue of Jet Airways sacking 1,900 of its employees.?

"Irrespective of what Raj Thackeray is doing, we will ask our Mumbai party unit to oppose this move of Jet Airways and teach them a lesson," Singh claimed.?

Terming the move as "disgusting", Singh said though the "alliance between Jet Airways and Kingfisher may be holy for them but is unholy for the poor employees and this has to be condemned".?

The SP leader also assured the retrenched employees of help if they needed the party's support. "We must fight for the lives and careers of these young men and women... if the employees come to us seeking support, then we will be ready to help them," he said.
